on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 3:14
P
eople - People are valuable to God
We believe every person is valuable to God, and He desires that each person would know and follow Him. God has designed us such that our ultimate fulfillment can only come through a love relationship with Him. Once acknowledging this, responsible evangelism and ongoing discipleship are at the heart of what we are doing. Jn. 3:16-18; 2 Pet. 3:9; Mt. 25:45; Mt. 18:12-14
R
elationships - Growing in godly relationships
We believe loving and honest relationships are vital to personal growth and evangelism. Discipleship through small groups, accountability and open honesty are critical to maturing in our faith. Genuine relationships with friends and family are key to winning others to Christ. Believing this, we biblically value and invest in relationships for the sake of the Kingdom of God. To protect the unity of the Spirit in our church, we refuse to give audience to a spirit of complaining or gossip; instead, we will be courageous in solving every problem in a way that honors God and builds biblical character. Jn. 4:42; 13:34-35; 17:20-26; Gal. 5:16-6:2; Acts 18:24-26; Prov. 11:30; 16:28; Eph. 4:1-6
E
xcellence - Aspire to excellence in all we do
We believe worship includes all we do, and God is worthy of our very best. At the core of each activity is consistent evaluation in a pursuit of excellence. We believe a simple presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ, creatively using available methods, is the best way of reaching the heart. Ps. 78:72; Dan. 5:12; Ecc. 10:10; Col. 3:17
S
tewardship - Generously we have received, generously we give
We believe God has given each believer resources, time and Spiritual gifts. It is our goal to help each member to identify and employ their Spiritual gifts in an impassioned way. God's design is for each member of His team to involve themselves in willing-hearted service. Each individual's impassioned use of their resources, time and Spiritual gifts is essential to their personal growth and the growth of the whole team. The importance of each member's God designed participation cannot be overstated. 2 Tim. 2:2; Tit. 1:5-9; Eph. 4:11-13; 1 Cor. 9:7; 12:4-13; Mal. 3:10-12
S
cripture - His Word is our guide
We believe God has given us an authoritative and complete source of guidance for life and ministry. The Bible is the one standard by which we evaluate all others. It reveals God's heart and design for people, relationships, motives and use of all He has given us. Scripture provides loving, logical limits for all we do. When clearly proclaimed, God's Word has the power to change lives for all eternity. 2 Tim. 3:16; Ps. 19:7-11; Ps. 119; Jude 3
